International Fat Quarter Swap

Many people who have commented on my giveaway post have expressed interest in the Australian designed fabrics we are giving away.

So I am proposing an International Fat Quarter Swap. People from different countries will be paired up and they get to send a fat quarter to each other which is typical of their country. Be it designed by someone of their nationality, printed in their country or contain a theme that is typical of their country. Obviously the stronger the link to your country the better!

If you would like to take part, please leave a comment with your email address and your nationality on this post. You will then be paired with someone from a different country and emails exchanged. Obviously you have to be willing to ship internationally for this to work!

Lets try and find the most unique and beautiful your country has to offer!

Thanks A! And I'm sure you'll pick something wonderful! There are so many smaller American designers - such as Laurie from Scarlet Fig - that you could choose from!

totally excited about this swap... I am in the US and I can do more than one package if possible.... more than one country would be cool.... I have some michael miller mainly and some alexander henry and then some that I pick up in out local fabric store that are not necessarily designer.... but I can get a specific designer if need be...

I'd love to. I'm in the Southeastern United Sates and would love a swap with someone from another country. I've done Australia and would really love any other European swap.

Very cool! I'd love to be involved with this. I'm trying to build up a stash with some interesting fabrics and this would be great.

I'm from the USA, Oregon. I'm sure I can find something fun from here.

I would love to swap from Tennessee, USA. Fabric designer Anna Maria Horner lives in my local area and has wonderful, colorful fabrics I could swap.

I would love to do this. I'm in Canada...from the northern area (think Santa) and fortunately our local shop has lots of fabric suited to the area.

I think my email address says it all LOL!
Oh we have local fibre artists and one lady does a wonderful screen print panel that goes like hotcakes when the tourists come through. I need an excuse to buy one.

I would love to do this and I'm in Indiana USA but I have fabric from some of my travels to China and Brazil. That could work I think.

Thank you all so far for signing up! If you know anyone who lives somewhere exotic, or even not exotic, please spread the word :) You can purchase the fabric or take it from your stash - just try and think local and possibly unusual!

I'll leave it open for another few days and then send out the emails.

This is a fantastic idea. Thanks for putting it together!

I live in the boring old US, but I will dig around for smaller designers, maybe someone from my home state or something.

Thanks,
Jaclyn
