Mum's english paper piecing

While Mum isn't quite as crazy about quilting and patchwork as myself and Aunty Dor, she does love to get into a bit of English Paper Piecing.

She's been working on this purple number for a while now, adding to her fabric stash as she goes.  She's built up quite a stash now, mostly purple obviously, with a few other bits thrown in. This piece has had a new breath of life since we went to the Kaffe Fassett lecture.  It already had a couple of Kaffe fabrics in it but we've subsequently added a couple more to the stash.

Here is her little helper pointing out a few of his faves. (the first one is a Kaffe, the boy has good taste what can I say!)

And some shoes even got a look in - Mum's pseudonym is Imelda!

Thanks for your lovely comments everyone, Mum was very chuffed.

I was thinking of starting a group hexagon blog where everyone can post pictures of their hexagon projects - anyone interested?
