Easter Baskets and a new project!

Two little easter baskets for two little girls. Fully lined and reversible and totally useable after the day as little girl hand bags.

We are going to an egg hunt at a friend's house on Sunday so I'm making baskets for the kids.

Last Sunday Mum, Aunty and I went to the Craft and Quilting fair. I was so looking forward to it after abstaining for months from buying any fabric and also as I was feeling distinctly lacking in inspiration.
And I wasn't disappointed. I picked up several new projects and the three of us had a great day out. So here is my first project. Yarn made mostly from paper.

It is a bit difficult to knit with but the results are stunning. This is only 20 stitches wide, the yarn is not very wide but I'm using 10mm needles. They had a little triangular shawl on display that they'd made with 10mm needles and it was very cute.

My idea for this is that it is a very thin scarf which will look almost like a necklace when draped around your neck.

I'll share more on my other projects soon.
